Working in partnership with RHA Skills
At Remit, we understand that many people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) experience barriers to learning.
They may have additional learning needs, physical disabilities or may experience a range of social, emotional, and mental health conditions, as well as language and communication difficulties.
At Remit we aim to ensure that all learners, regardless of their needs, can reach their full potential on their learning journey.
We support our SEND learners to develop insight into their personal barriers and help them to develop strategies and skills that will encourage them to become independent learners.
These learners will then be supported in a way that recognises and values their strengths and capabilities, empowering them to develop their skills and knowledge.

Inclusion
Depending on their level of need, some learners with SEND will only require the differentiated support that their assigned Remit Development Coach can offer to ensure they are fully included in the theory and practice of their course content and able to access all lessons. Development Coaches offer different levels of support to SEND learners, to find out more about how learners with SEND are supported in the classroom.
Some learners with SEND may require exam access arrangements. This includes making reasonable adjustments to enable learners studying with Remit to more easily access exams, for example providing additional time or a supportive reader during an exam.
Learning Support
Other learners will have more significant needs and will require support from Remit’s dedicated Learning Support team. This highly trained team, will discuss specific needs and offer a bespoke package of support tailored to each individual.
Mental Health
At Remit, the wellbeing of learners is of utmost importance. All front-line colleagues are Mental Health First Aid Trained.
