With A Level and GCSE results now out and young people across the country looking ahead to their future, school leavers across Leeds will receive an extra boost from national training provider Remit Group.

School leavers in the Leeds area keen to start a career in the motor industry are invited to an Automotive Apprenticeship Assessment day Leeds city centre on the 5th September.

We will be hosting the Assessment day at Carriageworks Theatre, 3 Millennium Square, Leeds LS2 3AD. There are 3 time slots to choose from between 10am and 5pm.

We are inviting positive, enthusiastic young individuals who are looking to learn more about Automotive Apprenticeships, what opportunities are available locally who are ready for the world of work

As well as completing an interview with one of our industry professionals, which helps to build a profile that can be used to showcase each individuals drive and talent, those attending will also able to complete their initial assessments along with a Mechanical Competency test.

This thorough screening process, which is crucial to getting job ready for an automotive apprenticeship represents the first stage of the automotive apprenticeship recruitment process and allows us to match work ready prospects to employers who either already have vacancies or are thinking about taking on an apprentice in the area.

This assessment day follows on from our very successful event that we held in Nottingham, which had brilliant feedback.

15 year old Joshua has always been involved in the family business of importing, restoring and selling cars. With plans to learn more about servicing and repair he is keen to have a career in the trade.

He said, ‘Today was really good and helpful. (Remit) has made the effort to come and talk to us and do this all with us. It’s brilliant, especially as I just thought you be telling us about vacancies

We are very excited about this assessment day and can’t wait to get young people in the Leeds area in to work with an apprenticeship
