In support of National Apprenticeship Week, national training provider Remit Group and global construction materials and manufacture supplier Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland have joined forces to launch a new level 4 sales apprenticeship programme.

Across the UK, Saint-Gobain works in three main sectors including construction products, building distribution and architectural and glass solutions for buildings. Following a launch in spring 2020, the new programme will see a number of apprentices enrolled nationwide, across many of Saint-Gobain’s well-known brands/businesses including British Gypsum, Jewson, Graham, Weber, Isover, Glassolutions, Saint-Gobain PAM, and Ecophon.

Saint-Gobain employs 179,000 people internationally and 16,000 in the UK & Ireland. As a testament to its people development strategy, Saint-Gobain has recently won the prestigious “Top Employer” accolade in the UK for the eighth consecutive year. The award recognises excellence in the conditions that employers create for their people and assesses learning and development opportunities, career and succession, working conditions and the overall culture of the organisation.

In the UK, Saint-Gobain has a wealth of experience and proven success in apprenticeship training. Since its launch in 2017, Saint-Gobain has made progressive use of the apprenticeship levy fund and will now add to its current offering that already includes apprenticeships that range from engineering to human resources.

Announced in National Apprenticeship Week, the new level 4 sales programme will be delivered through an innovative blend of state-of-the-art on-line learning, tailored workshops with on-going interaction, and support in the workplace from Remit Group’s Development Coaches and mentors from within Saint-Gobain.
