Delivered through our Leadership Academy, this blended programme supports learners to lead with confidence, make sound decisions, manage change, and stay on top of retail trends and technology. With structured learning, expert coaches and real workplace projects, it’s practical development that fits around the job – and improves how the job is done.

This Level 4 Retail Manager Apprenticeship is designed to strengthen leadership capability across your store network. Whether you’re developing store managers, deputy managers or regional leads, the programme builds skills in team performance, customer experience, and commercial delivery - while aligning with your strategy, culture, and goals.
Anyone managing day-to-day retail operations - such as store managers, department leads or regional leaders with people and performance responsibility.
Blended learning including online group sessions, 1:1 coaching, on-the-job application and flexible self-study through our digital Learning Experience Platform (LXP).
Learners need 6 hours of protected learning time per week, built into their working hours and aligned to your operational schedule.
Assign a workplace mentor, allow time for learning, and attend quarterly progress reviews to stay involved in their development.
Yes. Training is customised to your business goals, store environment and customer model - helping you build future leaders from within.
They’ll gain skills in strategic thinking, decision-making, coaching, and operational leadership - improving performance, customer satisfaction and team morale.
Through observed skills growth, commercial improvements, and final End Point Assessment performance.

If you're already managing people or operations in a retail environment and want to take things further, this apprenticeship is your next step. You’ll learn how to lead teams, make smarter decisions, drive sales and deliver great customer experiences—while still earning and staying in your current role.
It’s ideal for anyone managing in a retail setting - like store managers, team leads, or regional supervisors—who want to grow as leaders.
Through a mix of live online sessions, 1:1 coaching, real-world projects and self-paced learning through our digital platform - all designed to fit around your job.
It runs for around 18 months, including your final End Point Assessment where you’ll show what you’ve learned.
Yes. You’ll have 6 hours of learning time each week, during working hours, to develop your skills without stepping away from the job.
You’ll have a personal coach, access to a learning platform, and regular check-ins to help you stay on track, grow your skills, and get the most from the programme.
Definitely. Everything you do - from your coaching sessions to your final project—is tailored to your store, your challenges, and your goals.
No. You just need to be in a relevant management role and ready to learn. We’ll support you with English or Maths if needed.
