Lindleys Autocentres is a growing business, with new branches popping up around Nottinghamshire over the past few years. They work with Remit Group to manage their apprenticeship programme, as a way of bringing new talent into the business and developing the skills and knowledge of their workforce.


The Carlton branch is managed by Rhea Lindley. Rhea has been in charge at Carlton for the past year and feels they have a real ‘family feel’ to the team.


The team has been bolstered by the arrival of two apprentices, Katie Briggs and Josh Utting. Josh is now qualified after completing his three year Light Vehicle Technician apprenticeship earlier this year. Katie is a year into her Light Vehicle Technician apprenticeship and is using her training to build her skills, knowledge and confidence, thanks to the support of her employer and

training provider.


“We’ve been so lucky with Josh and Katie, they’re a real example of what good apprentices should be,” said Branch Manager, Rhea. “We love having them here, they work hard, fit in really well and are great with both the team and our customers. Occasionally they have to go and help out at our busiest branch in Arnold to cover holidays, and we miss them being here.


“Working with Remit Group has been really easy to be honest. We know when the coaches are going to visit us, we know when the block release weeks are well in advance, so we work around that. And the support we have had for all our apprentices has been brilliant.


“It’s so hard to get good quality technicians these days. Bringing in apprentices is the perfect way to get loyal, well-trained employees, who are committed to your business. We have some fantastic apprentices through Remit, and we’re so pleased with them.”
