Remit’s Software Development Technician Apprenticeship provides a great step for budding software developers to enhance their skills and attain industry knowledge that supports the creation and deployment of applications. It focuses on key methodologies that are industry lead practices and we have worked in partnership with British Computer Society and PluralSight to bring access to an extensive library of learning to develop enhanced knowledge.

Structure:

The apprenticeship spans over 18 months with a celebration of achievement throughout. Apprentices will be expected to complete a blended approach of Remit Digital Skills Trainer Delivered sessions and Remit Fuse Online Learning platform. Working in partnership with British Computer Society and PluralSight we have also brought access to 1000’s of additional learning that can enhance niche and specific skills.

Apprenticeship 

An apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing your skills and experience in a full-time paid job.  

Support 

During the apprenticeship you will have day to day support from your employer and have a dedicated Remit Development Coach who will visit you in your workplace to give regular 1-2-1 training and support

Assessment 

The final, end point assessment is completed in the last few months of the apprenticeship. It is based on;

  • a portfolio – presented towards the end of the apprenticeship, containing evidence from real work projects which have been completed during the apprenticeship
  • a project – you would undertake a business-related project over a one-week period away from the day to day workplace
  • your employer would write you a reference
  • a structured interview with an assessor – giving you the chance to discuss what has been presented in the portfolio and the project as well as looking at how it has been produced
