A hospitality supervisor is a fast paced role where you will be expected to work under pressure, motivate your team and give fantastic customer service! You could be working in a variety of businesses, including bars, restaurants, cafés, conference centres, banqueting venues, hotels or contract caterers! Working as a hospitality supervisor you’ll be providing vital support to management teams as well as running shifts are supervising hospitality services.


Employers will set their own requirements, usually you’ll be expected to have previously worked in an operational role within the industry.


This apprenticeship will last at least 12 months.


This is a level 3 apprenticeship – which is equivalent to 2 A Level Passes.  Apprenticeships are nationally recognised qualifications that are highly valued by employers.


An apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing your skills and experience in a full-time paid job.


During the apprenticeship you will have day to day support from your employer and have a dedicated Remit Development Coach who will visit you in your workplace to give regular 1-2-1 training and support


The final, end point assessment is completed in the last few months of the apprenticeship. It is based on;

  • a portfolio – presented towards the end of the apprenticeship, containing evidence from real work projects which have been completed during the apprenticeship
  • a project – you would undertake a business-related project over a one-week period away from the day to day workplace
  • a written reference from your employer
  • a structured interview with an assessor – giving you the chance to discuss what has been presented in the portfolio and the project as well as looking at how it has been produced
