As a business administrator apprentice, you will be involved in tasks such as managing diaries and making travel arrangements, filing both manually and electronically and help to organise events or meetings. You will develop excellent communication skills to help you deal with a wide variety of people and you will get to learn about your company’s different processes and systems used to run the business.

Career progression

The administration role may be a gateway to further career opportunities, such as management or senior support roles.

Entry Requirements

Typically, employers are looking for candidates with four GCSEs at level 4 and above.  Which is equivalent to a grade C and above on the old system. College graduates and university graduates are also welcomed. Functional Skills

If you do not have the required English and maths grades at GCSE level 4 when undertaking your apprenticeship, Remit can support a functional skills course. This course will ensure you have the level 4 required to undertake your endpoint assessment.


The duration of this apprenticeship is 12- 18 months.


You will be earning at least the national apprenticeship minimum wage.


This is a level 3 apprenticeship – which is equivalent to 2 A Level Passes.  Apprenticeships are nationally recognised qualifications that are highly valued by employers.


An apprenticeship gives the apprentice the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing their skills and experience in a full-time paid job.


The final endpoint assessment is completed in the last few months of the apprenticeship. It is based on;

  • Knowledge test: You would undertake a multi-choice test
  • Portfolio-based interview
  • Project presentation


During the apprenticeship, the apprentice will have day to day support from their employer and have a dedicated Remit Development Coach who will visit them in their workplace to give regular 1-2-1 training and support.
